Yeah, I put together a more personal bio up on a new page called Self. Check it out to read more about the real me.... if you dare... I mean, yeah, check it out. :)
Workin' on some good stuff in the studio. Actually just finished two new songs! Ok, one of them is new (altho the lyrics are older--and it has been recorded once before, very poorly), and the other one is sort of a remix... The point is that this next batch of music is going to be a bit of an interesting side-trail off the beaten (and battered) path of my more recent music. Hint: Think of a musical journey somewhere between Clapton and POD, from Run-DMC to Nirvana... or something like that. I hate trying to compare what I do to other stuff, because it doesn't sound like a whole lot else-- as is evidenced by the lack of popularity... but I jest (or do I?). But THAT, my faithful fans and friends, will ultimately be up to YOU to decide.
And, as usual, there are millions of other things on my mind and my creative queue: I'm piecing together the history of the Lifebreed Universe, you can see some of it at Globe-(6)-History. This is backstory for the Lifebreed Chronicles webcomic (currently on hiatus). It's also a bit of an experiment in journalistic fiction, wherein the fiction is detailed and chronicled in a non-fiction style. Imagine reading or watching a documentary-style non-fiction work... except it's fictional. That's the idea. Good writing will have people believing no matter what. But a fair warning: This is definitely for nerds.
In the meantime, I've been coming up with various ideas for other projects, done a bit of design concepts for Joel Lux's future graphic novel. That's quite a bit forthcoming at this point. Also I'm hoping to collaborate on either a music video (or short doc) or a small side-album with Ryan Spencer... or both. Whenever we can make time to get that together.
And all in all, we're in the middle of trying to move. Yay. The upside is that I'm no longer working a dayjob, the downside is that I have way too much to do and no time... and I no longer have a dayjob. Yes, that's right people! It happens. I've also been thinking a lot about comparative anatomy and evolutionary biology (especially in reference to design research for my webcomic). I'm thinking of a scenario wherein humans land on different planets and then adapt to extremely different environments for long periods of time (separate from any outside influences). The end result is a projection of human evolution which leaves humans looking quite different than our own particular breed... and how far would they have to go until they no longer could be considered human? Or would their DNA be compatible with ours? What kind of factors would shape them, and what sorts of biological features would they evolve in response to those factors?... Got some interesting design concepts I might post up on Globe-(6)-History...
Anyhow, so, yeah, it seems like a lot going on, not to mention trying to maintain websites, etc... and real life (can't forget that!).
